My name is Alison Despathy and I am an Independent Candidate for Caledonia-Washington House Representative which includes the towns of Danville, Peacham and Cabot.
Thank you for visiting my website. I would be honored to serve you and collaborate with you to develop real solutions for Vermont. Government is a collaborative effort by and for the people and it is my intention if elected to ensure that I am reaching out and connecting and working with my constituents, businesses and other legislators at all times to have the conversations and seek answers to the problems that arise and the issues we face as a state.
My intention at all times is constructive legislation that truly serves and supports the people, the environment and our economy here in this wonderful state of VT. There is tremendous nuance and complexity in the issues we face today. Due to this fact, research, clarity and a deep understanding are my priorities in order to create effective legislation that is not impulsive or destructive. I also believe strongly in working to strike the right balance between the power and authority of the government and the Constitutional rights of the individual. Our Constitution is based upon the inalienable rights of the individual and these must be upheld and fortified.
I have included my current thoughts and understanding on certain key issues, my goals, and my hopes for our state. Please feel free to contact me at any point to discuss these further or to offer insight, guidance or share any concerns or questions that you have regarding the state of affairs in Vermont or our world at this time. I look forward to hearing from you and collaborating.
